Staying Still
What if we just stayed still for a while? Even when we're seeing everyone around us moving forward, doing amazing things, reaching their goals? What if we chose to just let that happen, while we took time to be quiet and still and content?
We are faced with so much (often self-inflicted) pressure these days to do it all, right now. Our society is set up this way...more information, more stuff, more doing, more expectations. Buy, do, compare, improve, repeat.
I've been thinking about this a lot lately and in the midst of my own struggles to keep up, I decided to stop for a while and simply observe. And so far, what I have learned is that by staying still and going at my own pace, I felt more happy, more free and more clear about my goals. Instead of hustling my way through, I've embraced a more slow, intentional approach. And that felt really good.
So I guess my question for you is, what would happen if you slowed down a bit? What if instead of keeping up, you just slowly meandered through with more heart and patience? Let's talk about it.
