Wedded Bliss...Year One!

My husband I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary a few days ago! It's been one exciting year...from our beautiful wedding, to our honeymoon in Indonesia, to our move out to California.  There is so much adventure in our souls and we just want to keep at it, side by side, forever. Our wedding was about having our loved ones in one place and finding the right artistic balance to keep the celebration simple, intimate and memorable.  

I loved that we were able to keep a low-key urban, yet creative vibe throughout the evening.  With the help of my mom and mother-in-law, the decor and flowers were perfection. The signature cocktail, steel band player, photo booth, amazing tunes and BBQ feast were our little touches to keep the night fun and fulfilling.  The tea we steeped in our ceremony was also special because it is how we met.

What I learned about this day was that it was just a day.  There was a lot of time spent on pulling it all together, but for us it was so worth it.  However, it is the love that my husband and I share that is the most important.  We are best friends and enjoy every minute we spend together.  We are so thankful for our family and friends who could share in this special day with us...without them, none of this would be possible. Here's to many more adventures and happy times ahead!
